She stepped out in a flapper-style fringe dress reminiscent of the 1920s. FLOTUS combined the white dress with a pair of high white heels. The first lady was scheduled to appear at a climate event later in the day but bowed out due to protests. "She was supposed to participate in the spousal program and was very much looking forward to it," FLOTUS spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told USA TODAY. Trump tweeted that she is thinking of those injured in the protests. With Melania out of commission, photographers focused their lenses on another first lady: France's Brigitte Macron, who stepped out in a coral minidress and showed that at age 64, she can rival our 47-year-old FLOTUS at the legs-for-days game.
