Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...LOCAL NEWS MASSOB warns Mbaka to stay away from politics 9 hours ago SHARE THIS NEWS! Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Email – MASSOB tells Catholic priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, to stay away from Nigerian politics – The group says the type of dirty politics in Nigeria is not for men of God like Mbaka – MASSOB advises Mbaka to join those clergies who are agitating for the liberation of millions of Biafrans from Nigeria’s enslavement The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned Catholic priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, to stay away from Nigerian politics and face his spiritual calling. This comes even as the group noted that the type of dirty politics in Nigeria is not for men of God like Mbaka, The Sun reports. The warning to Mbaka is sequel to a message by the fiery preacher during one of his church programmes, where he told his congregation to refrain from cursing President Muhammadu Buhari so as not to be cursed by God. READ ALSO: Fast all in one — UC Browser MASSOB has warned Catholic priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, to stay away from Nigerian politics and face his spiritual calling. Reacting to the message, MASSOB advised Mbaka to join those it described as freedom fighters clergies who are agitating for the liberation of millions of Biafrans from Nigeria’s enslavement, and not to soil his white rob in the murky waters of Nigerian politics. Also, David Chinedu Eboson, the director general, Organisation of Biafra Music and Film Authority (OBMFA), warned Rev Mbaka to stay away from Nigerian politics because “Nigeria politics is beyond your understanding.” He added: “God forbid that we will be among the party that will be clapping for you while you are going wrong. He should stay clear of the Nigerian politics before it drags his spirituality to the dust. We are not saying he should not give prophecy of what God has revealed to him concerning  Nigeria and as an anointed man of God, but his today’s (Sunday) Adoration preaching are far away from what is happening in the country, as if the anointing is not with him again. “People now see him as a Priest who is always going to Aso Villa for selfish interest. He can never serve two masters at a time, if he wants to be a politician, he should forget about priesthood.” READ ALSO: Father Mbaka under fire for praising President Buhari On Sunday, August 21, Rev Mbaka advised his congregation to dissuade from cursing President Muhammadu Buhari as the president is a blessing from God to the people of Nigeria. He said: “So I want to tell you that so far, God is happy with Buhari. And him whom God has blessed, may you not try to accurse, because God will curse you.” He also claimed that a group of people have sinister motives of assassinating the president in order to continue with their corrupt practices. Mbaka said Jonathan and his team were responsible for Nigeria’s problems, and not the current president. However, this did not go down well with some Nigerians who have called him a fake prophet for heaping praises on the Buhari administration just weeks after he castigated the same regime. He further  alleged that the president appointed three saboteurs who never believed in his presidency as ministers. READ ALSO: BREAKING: Tension in PDP as Fayose is placed under house arrest in Port Harcourt (photos) Akamukale who made the disclosure while fielding questions from journalists at the APC headquarters, said Buhari needs to, immediately, roll out practical solutions to the myriad of problems confronting the country, warning  that many Nigerians were becoming impatient. “I agree that it is painful to see certain persons appointed. I know three current serving ministers who told me that Buhari will never be the President of this country. “Today, they are benefiting from Buhari government, but they should be ashamed because it is only a dog that goes back to its vomit. I have nothing against them because people will tell you that after party, it is government, but they are political jobbers. They claim that the president went for technocrats, but the big question is, who is not a technocrat. “The truth is that most of them are interlopers because it takes those within the party to understand where the party is headed. I agree that Mr President, perhaps, because of what he met on ground and style of leadership, has not been forthcoming with the distribution of leadership. However, I am sure these things will soon be sorted out because we are getting there. I know we have to be patient but I know that some people are running out of patience,” he said. He added: “If by 2019, the dream is cut short by Nigerians, many people you see today, some who are ministers and others, will go back, but some of us will still remain. Many people will go back and look for a new government to take position. They will tell you that they are technocrats because they have nothing to lose. “If you really ask me, I think Nigerians are becoming impatient with us because it is now about two years into this government. So, it is for Nigerians and not about me or about APC members. It is for Nigerians to know what this government will do to benefit them.” On what Mr President should do, he said: “I think the president should bring on board those who believe in the change mantra, those who yearned for change, those who could assist Mr. President in delivering the dividends of democracy to the masses of this country, because, at the end of the day, people that lose or gain are Nigerians. Nigerians voted for us and there are things they are expecting from us.” READ ALSO: Fast all in one — UC Browser Meanwhile, Ogbonnaya Onu, the minister of science and technology has rejected the Toyota SUV given to him by the Ebonyi state government. The minister, in a letter to the state governor, Dave Umahi, said he rejected the gift because the laws of the state excluded him from persons eligible to collect such gifts. The letter which was obtained by Premium Times quoted Onu calling the governor’s attention to the relevant sections of the constitution and how the state House of Assembly abused its powers to technically edge him out of his deserved pension, being a former governor of Abia state. Onu said it was clear from the foregoing that he was the target of the change “in an apparent design to deny me of my due pension entitlement.” Want to read news with extra convenience? According to Oba Akiolu, Buhari should realize that he is no longer a military man and be civil in his approach, The Punch reports. Oba Riliwanu Akiolu Oba Akiolu made this known in Lagos on Monday, August 15, during the unveiling of SunTrust Bank Limited, the first commercial bank to be licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 15 years. His remark comes even as he noted that former president Goodluck Jonathan could not be totally blamed for the nation’s current economic crisis. However, Oba Akiolu sought support for President Buhari and expressed confidence in the Federal Government’s Economic Management Team led by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to salvage the economy. Akiolu said: “All of us just have to support the President and I advise him to know that he is no more a military man. I am not afraid to say that. The measures they are taking on the rot of the past, honestly whether they like it or not, it was not totally the fault of former President Goodluck Jonathan. I don’t hide the fact that he (Jonathan) is my personal friend.  All that happened was not totally his fault “But it is not too late to make amend. With Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as head of economic team, with people like Mrs. Nike Akande as the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others, they (the federal government) should listen to advice from people in commercial sector of the economy.” Oba Akiolu and former president Goodluck Jonathan are good friends READ ALSO: Fast all in one — UC Browser Other dignitaries present at the unveiling include; the president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; chairman of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola; andcChairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Danjuma Goje. He said: “These investments of ours are meant to open the entire economy, not just in Nigeria but the entire Africa. We also believe that this investment by SunTrust Bank will attract good rewards in the years to come. “SunTrust Bank has a good business model that is based on financial technology, often regarded as FinTech. With their focus on FinTech, customers can transact business with them without leaving their homes.” According to Dangote, the SunTrust Bank’s model will attract millions into the financial system, noting that only 15% of the country’s adult population is currently in the banking system. While unveiling SunTrust Bank, Dangote said: “This is a very bold move; ladies and gentlemen, I present to you tomorrow’s bank today.” Meanwhile, Oba Akiolu has said that more oil deposits are still going to be discovered in Lagos state, which will lead to constructions of more refineries in the state. According to him, Nigerians have not seen anything in terms of development, and that a lot of developmental projects are going to be embarked on during the tenure of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. The monarch said that the refinery being built by the Dangote Group in Lagos was just the beginning of many great things to come during his reign. Want to read news with extra convenience? Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...23-YEAR OLD NIGERIAN MUSICIAN WHO MARRIED 62-YEAR OLD AMERICAN GRANDMOTHER RECEIVES HIS VISA SK MODE AND AMELIA The 23-year old budding Nigerian musician, Mr. Somkenechukwu Victor Adimike, alias SK Mode, who got married to a 62-year old Columbian-American widow, Amelia Felix, who he met on the internet in 2008, has been granted an immigrant visa into the United States of America. The CR1 visa is as a Conditional Spouse of a US Citizen, with an option to apply for a full American citizenship status after one year and was issued to Mr. Adimike on Thursday, October 29, 2009. This brings to an end the Nigerian part of a year-long saga which has involved several frustrating visits to the American Embassy, legal proceedings in the US, various complaints of intimidation against the US Embassy in Nigeria which the couple said accused them of being fake because of the massive difference in their ages and strong resistance from Amelia’s children. Amelia has three children – two daughters and a son with the eldest being 40 this year and the youngest at 33. They tried all they could to stop her from coming to Nigeria or marrying Victor, but she succeeded in having her way. She distanced herself from her children and even drove the last one, who resides with her, out of the house. Her son, Reinaldo, who is 38 this year, even sent us a mail saying that his mother suffered from schizophrenia and has been very lonely since she lost her husband, a retired Air force officer, to cancer in 2007. In the Tuesday, September 1 edition of ENCOMIUM WEEKLY, we carried an interview of Victor and Amelia where they told their love story. Amelia told of how she became very lonely after the death of her husband and how her friends encouraged her to try out romance on the Web. She had listed her requirements for a new man and stipulated an age of not less than 56 years. But that didn’t deter Victor who got attracted to her when he saw her picture. They took time to size out each other and Amelia eventually found out that Victor was merely 22 at that time. According to Amelia, “The first time I saw him (they got webcams to see each other with), I started to cry. I cried because when I saw how young he was, I was really startled. But I felt an attraction for him that I could not understand… that was when I knew I had to meet him in person.” Amelia said that she even tried keeping away from him for some time but that didn’t work. “The attraction was so strong that I used to run straight from work to the computer to talk to him when we started talking again.” They also found out more about each other. Victor, an only son, was a recording artiste with an album titled MODE N STYLE to his name. They were also astrologically compatible, according to Amelia who dabbled into such things. Amelia herself had well developed musical interests and used to work as a substitute teacher in her state of Florida, USA. She decided to visit Nigeria and after a romantic couple of weeks with Victor, they got married at an Akure Registry in September 2008. Since then all their attempts to get a visa for Victor to relocate to the United States had been futile because the Embassy was understandably suspicious of their union. She returned to the US to fight on that front while Victor continued making visa attempts here in Nigeria. Their prayers have now been answered and her Victor is now set to join her. Victor was not frightened, he was apprehensive, we are very private people, ad we were not sure if allowing the media to come into our lives would help or hurt us. I was happy to prove to the world that our relationship was real. We have been married 4 years now. Yet the world would rather see two men being married to each other, than to allow a woman like me to be married to a younger man. This world is biased towards women. If women were allowed to voice their opinions the world would know, that most of those that remained widows, and those that did not marry for fear of the opinions of others, did so only to appease society. Deep down in their hearts, its not what they really wanted. Some like me, that decided to take the plunge, no matter what, are happy with their decision, yet, they are still bigots out there who are misjudging us. Some wished they had our courage. Most women who wanted to make changes in their lives, wished they were allowed to pick up the pieces of their lives, but family and so called friends did not allow them to do it. Those who chose to live as nuns regret it, but they are too shy, afraid of what might be said, and prefer to live according to the merciless rules of society rather than be happy. I did not choose to look for a younger husband, life chose him for me, and I willingly accepted. Reply

Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...LOCAL NEWS World Bank to return Abacha loot soon 5 hours ago SHARE THIS NEWS! Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Email – The World Bank promised to return $321m Abacha loot when it can ascertain what Nigeria will do to the money – Previous repatriations have reportedly been squandered especially during the Jonathan administration – Nigeria has already submitted lists of projects it planned to carry out It seems corruption which has bedevilled Nigeria is haunting it again as the repatriation of the $321m Abacha loot is being delayed until the World Bank can ascertain the projects Nigeria will carry out with the money. During the administration of former president, Goodluck Jonathan £22.5 million Abacha loot was reportedly repatriated to Nigeria but the government could not explain what the money was used for. READ ALSO: EFCC To Probe Okonjo-Iweala, Dasuki – Falana The Punch reports that Switzerland explained that a bilateral agreement has to be reached on the projects Nigeria will carry out with the $321m before it will be returned. This was apparently done so a s to monitor the fund as a result of previous repatriation that ended up missing. Daniel Cavegn who is the deputy head of mission at the Swiss embassy in Nigeria said the country was ready for the transfer of the fund once all the necessary World Bank protocol and agreements had been taken care of. He said: “Once the monitoring of the World Bank for the projects chosen by the Federal Government is finalised, we will proceed to a bilateral agreement for the restitution, which is the legal basis for the transfer of the money. “The Swiss forfeiture order provides for a return of $321m to Nigeria and foresees a monitoring of the use of the funds by the World Bank. “From the Swiss side, we are committed to begin the restitution of the money to Nigeria as soon as possible; we will proceed to a bilateral agreement for the restitution, which is the legal basis for the transfer of the money. “It is difficult to currently give a time frame for the start of the restitution as the finalisation of the proceedings will still need time.” Cavegn said the attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice of Nigeria and the Swiss Foreign Minister signed a letter of intent regarding the restitution of the fund on March 8, 2016 in Abuja. He explained this was to ensure transparency and accountability which was in accordance with international best practice. “This letter of intent confirms that the use of the funds will be monitored by the World Bank as foreseen in the forfeiture order issued by the Public Prosecutor of the Canton of Geneva.” The Swiss official said Nigeria had submitted series of projects it planned to carry out with the fund. He said: “We are awaiting more details regarding the proposed projects and, in particular, how the monitoring of the World Bank would be assured.” The Swiss government said it had repatriated $700 million Abacha loot to Nigeria in several tranches since 2005. A source has said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission will investigate a former minister of finance over missing £22.5 million from the family of late Abacha. The Nation reports that the money which was recovered from the Island of Jersey could not be traced. A source who pleaded anonymity said the investigation was borne out of the fact that there was communication between government of the Island of Jersey and a former minister of finance. “There was certainly a communication between the government of the Island of Jersey and a former minister of finance. The EFCC investigators are probing whether the cash was actually repatriated into the government’s coffers or diverted into a personal account. “During the administration of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, the ex-minister was said to have declared that the money had been spent. “The records of the transactions are not just there at all. This development has created much suspicion on the whereabouts of the Abacha loot. The EFCC might interrogate the ex-minister if it cannot trace the records of the repatriation of the loot.” Want to read news with extra convenience? Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...Charles II was king of England, Scotland and Ireland, whose restoration to the throne in 1660 marked the end of republican rule in England. Charles was born on 29 May 1630, the eldest surviving son of Charles I. He was 12 when the Civil War began and two years later was appointed nominal commander-in-chief in western England. With the parliamentary victory he was forced into exile on the continent. He was in the Netherlands when, in 1649, he learnt of his father's execution. In 1650, Charles did a deal with the Scots and was proclaimed king. With a Scottish army he invaded England but was defeated by Cromwell at the Battle of Worcester in 1651. He again escaped into exile and it was not until 1660 that he was invited back to England to reclaim his throne. Although those who had signed Charles I's death warrant were punished, the new king pursued a policy of political tolerance and power-sharing. His desire for religious toleration, due in large part to his own leanings towards Catholicism, were to prove more contentious. He made a number of attempts to formalise toleration of Catholics and Non-conformists but was forced to back down in the face of a strongly hostile parliament. The early years of Charles's reign saw an appalling plague (1665) and the Great Fire in 1666 which led to the substantial rebuilding of the city of London. Between 1665 and 1667 England was at war with the Dutch (the Second Anglo-Dutch War), ending in a Dutch victory. In 1670, Charles signed a secret treaty with Louis XIV of France. He undertook to convert to Catholicism and support the French against the Dutch (Third Anglo-Dutch War 1672-1674), in return for which he would receive subsidies from France, thus enabling his some limited room for manoeuvre with parliament. In 1677, Charles married his niece Mary to the Protestant William of Orange, partly to re-establish his own Protestant credentials. Although Charles had a number of illegitimate children with various mistresses, he had none with his wife, Catherine of Braganza. His Catholic brother James was thus his heir. Knowledge of his negotiations with France, together with his efforts to become an absolute ruler, brought Charles into conflict with parliament, which he dissolved in 1681. From then until his death he ruled alone. Charles's reign saw the rise of colonisation and trade in India, the East Indies and America (the British captured New York from the Dutch in 1664), and the Passage of Navigation Acts that secured Britain's future as a sea power. He founded the Royal Society in 1660. Charles died on 6 February 1685, converting to Catholicism on his death bed.

Recall that the president recently directed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to begin the search for oil in the north-east. Garba Deen Muhammad, the spokesperson of the corporation, in a statement on July 25, Monday, said it is stepping up measures to enable a successful operation in the current search for crude oil in the Chad basin and other parts of the inland substance basin. The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate recently carried out its threat by blowing up oil installations in the upland of the Niger Delta region.  The destruction of the pipeline was carried out on Wednesday, August 10 which is less than 48 hours after the group issued a threat to carry out its planned vandalism. The Punch reports that the group claimed responsibility for the attack and said it was part of its “Operation Zero” which is aimed at demolition of oil facilities. The group had issued a deadly warning to the president Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government on Tuesday, August 9 that in a few days, refineries in the region will be destroyed. In a another development, four major blue-chip Nigerian companies have lost as much as N51.86 billion in the first half of 2016 as the economy continues to take a dip. A report by The Guardian detailed how the hope of the manufacturing sector is getting bleaker by the day as their earnings dim. The report stated that the firms are grappling with input cost pressure and weak consumer purchasing power, while hope for improved earnings in the second half of 2016 are fading away. Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Dangote Cement Plc and Lafarge Africa all suffered combined profit losses to the tune of N51.86 billion in the first half of the year. SHARE THIS NEWS! Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...Osinbajo unveils FG's plans to jumpstart economy 8 hours ago SHARE THIS NEWS! Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Email – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo admits that the economy has been on a massive downturn but says that the government has concluded its recovery agenda – He blames vandalizations in the Niger Delta for contributing to Nigeria’s economic woes – Osinbajo says the government will release N100 billion in few days to help boost the economy too Vice president Yemi Osinbajo speaking at the LCCI seminar on Thursday, August 11 The vice president has revealed the economic agenda of the government in the bid to stabilize the tottering economy even as the harsh conditions bite harder. Speaking at the 2016 presidential policy dialogue session which was organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Lagos on Thursday, Osinbajo said the government will release N100 billion in the next few days to increase money in circulation. READ ALSO: Nationwide darkness looms as electricity companies threaten federal govt with powercut He gave the list of the major considerations by the government: 1. Reduce fiscal and forex imbalances; 2. Boost dollar liquidity; 3. Curb inflation; 4. Lower interest rate and ensure lending to the real sector; 5. Increase FDIs and FPI by sustaining enabling policies. In the speech he read at the seminar, Osinbajo painted a gloomy picture of the economy but said the government is putting the above plans and some others in place to ensure the economy returns to smooth sailing. “Foreign Direct Investment, which stood at about USD395 million in Q1 2015 declined by 56% to USD175 million by Q1 of 2016. “FPI, which averaged USD621 million in Q1 of 2015, had declined to USD90.3 million by Q1 2016. Inflation is at 16.5%. Depreciation of the naira, increase in importation costs due to scarcity of FX. Declining earnings from oil in the past eight months due to vandalization of pipelines and export assets in the Niger Delta. Power output fell from 5kMW in Feb. to about 2.5k recently on account of over 60% loss in gas production due to pipeline vandalization,” he said. He continued: “In order to tackle these problems, permit me to elaborate on some of the steps taken in this regard. Priority attention was given to assist the States and Local Govts pay the salaries of workers, which were several months in arrears. We have had three such interventions including the latest loan of N90bn as part of a fiscal responsibility plan for States. These interventions have helped to boost household spending which were key steps to prevent the economy from falling into deep recession. We have pledged to keep capital spending in the budget at a minimum of 30%. Accordingly, we have already made capital releases of N332billion, with another N100 billion set to be released in the next few days. Other policy instruments used in this regard include the TSA, which has brought transparency into inflows & outflows of government monies A great effort has been made to improve non-oil revenues. This includes bringing an additional 700k companies into the tax net as compared to the targeted 500k set at the beginning of the year. FIRS has achieved 73.17% of its target for the first half of the year. Similarly, milled rice capacity is being increased from 3million tons annually to 10million tons of paddy annually. Meanwhile, power generating companies (gencos) have threatened to switch off electricity nationwide should the federal government fail to pay up the billions of naira owed them by its agencies and parastatals. The companies, six of them, in a joint statement on Wednesday, August 10, said they would shut down electricity generation very soon if the debt, totalling around N156 billion ($485-million) is not paid up in full. Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...LATEST IPOB warns MEND to stay off negotiation over Nnamdi Kanu 7 hours ago SHARE THIS NEWS! Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Email – The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) had recently said it was negotiating the release of Nnamdi Kanu among other demands – The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which Kanu leads even in detention, doubts MEND and its activities including the reported negotiation – IPOB says it wants Kanu released but that the federal government must be ready to do this unconditionally because the leader committed no crime The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is warning the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) to stay off its alleged negotiation for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained IPOB leader. Nnamdi Kanu is facing treason charges, alongside two others, Benjamin Madubgwu and James Nwawuisi This new warning comes a day after an earlier warning from the group to the same MEND against tabling any issue relating to Kanu’s freedom on the table as it negotiates with the federal government. IPOB gives the feeling it does not trust MEND and would rather prefer to pitch tents with the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), a now deadly group in the Niger Delta region of the country. To IPOB, the purported negotiation between MEND and the federal government is nothing but a ‘kangaroo’ arrangement or a jamboree. READ ALSO: Nigerians react to Kanu’s Biafra deal with FG The Sun reports that a statement from Emma Powerful, the media and publicity secretary of IPOB said the group would accept nothing less than an unconditional release of their leader. The statement read: “IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not send MEND to negotiate for the release of our leader Kanu and other members in detention with him. “It is unfortunate on the part of MEND to negotiate for the release our leader without the full knowledge of the organisation. “We the members of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide and people of Biafra can never accept any release of our leader and other members detained alongside with him because he did not commit any crime, we can only accept the unconditional release of our leader, nothing more and nothing less. READ ALSO: MASSOB chief reveals reasons Nigeria is ripe for a split “MEND is a group which does not know what it is looking for and who decided to stay and use the plights of their people to make demand from the  federal government, everybody knows that and Nnamdi Kanu is not the type who will sabotage the people of Biafra. “Therefore, any group or individual that wants to use the struggle for Biafra to make money or to sabotage the independent state of Biafra will die with serious pains around him or her because this is God’s project which no human being can stop because it is a spirit that hovers around.” Want to read news with extra convenience? Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...17:07 France closed 20 radical mosques since December (From L) French Interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve, French President Francois Hollande and French Prime minister Manuel Valls attend a memorial ceremony honouring the police couple who were killed by an extremist pledging allegiance to the Islamic State. DOMINIQUE FAGET / AFP POOL / AFP French authorities have shut down around 20 mosques and prayer halls considered to be preaching radical Islam since December, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Monday.   "There is no place ... in France for those who call for and incite hatred in prayer halls or in mosques, and who don't respect certain republican principles, notably equality between men and women," the minister said. "That is why I took the decision a few months ago to close mosques through the state of emergency, legal measures or administrative measures. About 20 mosques have been closed, and there will be others." Cazeneuve was speaking after a meeting with leaders of the French Council of the Muslim Religion. There are some 2,500 mosques and prayer halls in France, about 120 of which are considered to be preaching radical Salafism, a strict Sunni interpretation of Islam. He said that since 2012, 80 people had been expelled from France, and dozens more expulsions were under way, without giving further details. The meeting comes as France struggles with an unprecedented jihadist threat that has seen a raft of terror attacks, most recently a truck massacre in Nice which killed 84, and the murder of a Catholic priest in the Normandy village of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray. The repeat attacks have raised tough questions about security failures, but also about the foreign funding of many mosques. Prime Minister Manuel Valls said last week that he would consider a temporary ban on foreign financing of mosques, urging a "new model" for relations with Islam. Cazeneuve confirmed that authorities were working on a French foundation for Islam which would guarantee total transparency in financing of mosques "with rigorous respect for secular principles."   Cookies enable our services to work properly.
