Welcome to mjventertainment.blogspot.com:...LATEST IPOB warns MEND to stay off negotiation over Nnamdi Kanu 7 hours ago SHARE THIS NEWS! Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Email – The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) had recently said it was negotiating the release of Nnamdi Kanu among other demands – The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which Kanu leads even in detention, doubts MEND and its activities including the reported negotiation – IPOB says it wants Kanu released but that the federal government must be ready to do this unconditionally because the leader committed no crime The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is warning the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) to stay off its alleged negotiation for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained IPOB leader. Nnamdi Kanu is facing treason charges, alongside two others, Benjamin Madubgwu and James Nwawuisi This new warning comes a day after an earlier warning from the group to the same MEND against tabling any issue relating to Kanu’s freedom on the table as it negotiates with the federal government. IPOB gives the feeling it does not trust MEND and would rather prefer to pitch tents with the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), a now deadly group in the Niger Delta region of the country. To IPOB, the purported negotiation between MEND and the federal government is nothing but a ‘kangaroo’ arrangement or a jamboree. The statement read: “IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not send MEND to negotiate for the release of our leader Kanu and other members in detention with him. “It is unfortunate on the part of MEND to negotiate for the release our leader without the full knowledge of the organisation. “We the members of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide and people of Biafra can never accept any release of our leader and other members detained alongside with him because he did not commit any crime, we can only accept the unconditional release of our leader, nothing more and nothing less.
