While stopping by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host asked him everyone's burning baby question point-blank. "Is this true, you're a daddy for the second time?" asked DeGeneres. "I am," replied Gosling, teasing that he had brought a picture of the little one (it was really just a Photoshop of Ellen's head on an infant's body). According to TMZ, Amada Lee Gosling was born April 29th in Santa Monica, Calif. “Amada was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish," Mendes told Violet Grey in 2014. Gosling, 35, and Mendes, 42, are also parents to 19-month-old Esmeralda Amada Gosling. Like Mendes' first pregnancy, the notoriously quiet couple managed to keep news of their second child under wraps, with reports surfacing just last month that Mendes was expecting again. "For us, especially with kids, unfortunately privacy isn't something that they're going to have a lot of," Gosling told USA TODAY recently. "So as much as you can give it to them you feel like that's what you want to do, you know? It's the nature of being a parent. You're protective." DeGeneres even cracked the door open just a little more for us. "What do you call her?" she asked of Gosling's eldest. "You know, Es. Ezzie," said Gosling, sharing his chalk war adventures with Esmerelda at a local park.
